SKIN CARE

The skin is an intricate living organ that performs important functions in the working of the body.

All skin varies somewhere between oily or dry. The complexity arises from all of the variables that must be considered, such as, topical ingredients, drugs, hormones, steroids, circumstances, environmental changes etc.

Although the skin deals with a constantly changing environment, we still expect it to look well and not to show any signs of problems or wear.

Skin care is effective and important for maintaining the health of this, the body’s largest organ. It is a daily commitment to your wellness, just as nutrition, exercise, sleep and fresh air.

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE

Lymphatic drainage offers a tremendous benefit for the health of the body. It is one of the most important systems in the body. Health and dis-ease both have their roots in the watery fluid called lymph.

The blood relies on the heart to pump it throughout the body whereas the lymph relies on body movement for its circulation. Today many of us lack the exercise and body movement needed in order to maintain a proper healthy lymph circulation.

The result of a sluggish lymph system is the accumulation of toxin. This can be seen on the body as, for instance, cellulite, weight gain and fluid retention (edema) in the legs, ankles and feet.

With lymphatic drainage we are able to move this toxic energy into circulation so the liver can rid the body of them.

SPA TREATMENT

Spa treatments are known for being relaxing, however that is just the surface of their potential benefits.

For instance the scrub at the beginning of a spa treatment, stimulates many important functions on and below the skin, such as, sebaceous glands, small muscles and nerve endings, vein, blood and lymph circulation (which helps to strengthen the underlying tissue and capillary walls). The exfoliation allows the skin to breathe more easily and leaves the skin feeling soft.

In the case of the ‘Copenhagen Spa’, acupuncture points and meridians are stimulated with intra sound, using the Sonafon. This helps stimulate and tone internal organs for better health, functioning and well-being.

The mask nourishes and mineralizes the skin, while also promoting relaxation.

The lymphatic drainage massage encourages the elimination of toxin. This process also adjusts the body to its proper proportion.
